Southampton have completed the signing of Ryan Bertrand on a season-long loan from Chelsea, .

The 24 year old had been linked with an £8m move to Liverpool, but has opted for a move to St Mary’s as he looks for regular first team football.

The South Coast club have lost five of their star performers from last season, with defenders Luke Shaw, Calum Chambers and Dejan Lovren, midfielder Adam Lallana and forward Rickie Lambert all moving on to pastures new.

Bertrand spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, and this is his seventh temporary move away from Stamford Bridge since turning professional.

Utrecht have claimed that Swansea City owe them a cut of Michel Vorm s transfer fee after the goalkeeper moved to Tottenham last month.

The Netherlands international agreed a four-year contract at White Hart Lane in July to bring to an end his three-year spell at Swansea.

Vorm started his professional career at Utrecht, making 157 appearances before switching to the Liberty Stadium in 2011.

The Eredivisie side say that as part of that deal, a 30 per cent sell-on clause was agreed, but they are yet to receive any information from Swansea relating to this following the move.

In quotes reported by BBC Wales, Utrecht general manager Wilco van Schaik slammed Huw Jenkins after the Swansea chairman had reportedly told him Vorm was released on a free transfer.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Newcastle United have agreed on a loan deal that will see them sign Jordan Lukaku – the younger brother of Manchester United’s Romelu.

A 41-time Brazil international, Paulinho headed to China in 2015 after two seasons at Tottenham.

Neymar wants to see his international team-mate alongside him at Barca, saying he had showcased his quality consistently for Brazil.

The Portuguese forward joined from Wolves in a reported £45million deal and Klopp believes the newcomer will add valuable and credible competition for places in the Premier League champions attack.
